My Pick:
The unleash guy and the keyrune are both good picks if you want to go rakdos. I assume rakdos will be overdrafted, also I think voidwielder is amazing. I don't think there are very good arguments for taking any card except for void or the two rakdos cards.
Pack 1 pick 2:
My Pick:
I think that the keyrune and the healer are both better than the skywatch, but I would rather just stay blue at this point. I spent most of the time debating as to which of the two selesnaya cards I would take if I were in those colors. I think healer because it helps more in a race and doesn't tie up your mana.
Pack 1 pick 3:
My Pick:
Pretty weak pack overall. The impact is really strong and seems like a good finisher in an aggressive izzet deck. At this point however, my draft is two six drops and a 5 drop, so I'll have to watch my curve going forward.
Pack 1 pick 4:
My Pick:
Goblin rally seems insane, especially in izzet. It can chump forever so your fliers can finish or it lets you just swarm in for the final X points of damage.
Pack 1 pick 5:
My Pick:
Guttersnipe is a very aggressive creature, and if it comes down on turn three its ability can easily deal 6-8 damage, which is a huge chunk of the opponent's life total.
Pack 1 pick 6:
My Pick:
I'm just not sure if essence backlash or cancel is the better counter. I played cancel in the last izzet draft and was pretty pleased. Decided to give essence backlash a chance. Downsize is a bad trick and I see no reason to try to splash black with the guildgate at this point.
Pack 1 pick 7:
My Pick:
Tower drake is perfect in the izzet deck, which just wants aggressive creatures, not card draw such as inspiration.
Pack 1 pick 8:
My Pick:
Stealer of secrets combines really well with izzet cards like annihilating fire, voidwielder, and inaction injunction, which will clear blockers and let you draw cards for free.
Pack 1 pick 9:
My Pick:
Not sure if I should have taken the inaction injunction or the impostor here. Impostor is a really good card, especially with voidwielder, and also lets you reset unleash guys in case you really need them as blockers. I erred on the side of taking the uncommon.
Pack 1 pick 10:
My Pick:
Jailbreakers should not be going so late.
Pack 1 pick 11:
My Pick:
Picks like this are why izzet can be really strong. Chemister's trick is surprisingly good and nobody else wants it.

Pack 2 pick 1:
My Pick:
First pick inaction injunction is pretty loose. I don't like shred freak because it can be hard to cast on turn two and izzet tends to have more than enough two drops. Injunction is also really good with guttersnipe and stealer of secrets.
Pack 2 pick 2:
My Pick:
After drafting izzet twice I am starting to think electromancer is a key part. He is aggressively costed and sometimes the reduction in spell cost can really break games open. Casting goblin rally turn four was huge and I was able to cast annihilating fire and the impact in one turn for seven mana.
Pack 2 pick 3:
My Pick:
Again, I think impostor is a very strong card and courier and cancel don't come close.
Pack 2 pick 4:
My Pick:
Guildmage can be very strong, although it is really just a bear for the first 5-6 turns. After that, you can start doubling inaction injunction/annihilating fire/electrickery, which is insane.
Pack 2 pick 5:
My Pick:
The skywatch is too expensive and the elocutors is really not what this deck wants to be doing, which is beat down.
Pack 2 pick 6:
My Pick:
Nothing for me so I took the card I thought would be most annoying.
Pack 2 pick 7:
My Pick:
Still not sure about this pick. The soul is harder to block (obviously) but also harder to cast, which was a problem a least once during the draft. I'll need more experience to be sure about this in the future.
Pack 2 pick 8:
My Pick:
Indrik is insane and one of the only commons I truly fear with this deck. The four toughness puts it out of reach of annihilating fire and I can really only interact with it through voidwielder or giving the opponent a 2 for 1. Also, there is absolutely nothing for my deck.
Pack 2 pick 9:
My Pick:
Probably not going to play this, but you never know.
Pack 2 pick 10:
My Pick:
This seems very late for this card. This card seems better in izzet than azorius, what with the guildmage to copy it, the electromancer to make it cost one, and the guttersnipe to tack on two damage.
Pack 2 pick 11:
My Pick:
Maybe should have hated the indrik. I am getting overloaded on 2 drops and the indrik is really scary.

Pack 3 pick 1:
My Pick:
Pretty easy pick here. Best card in the pack AND in my colors.
Pack 3 pick 2:
My Pick:
Annihilating fire is much better than thoughflare.
Pack 3 pick 3:
My Pick:
As in rakdos, splatter thug is one of the better creatures izzet can pick up. Runewing is not as good because it is far less aggressive and not that much more difficult to block.
Pack 3 pick 4:
My Pick:
I choose to upgrade my 2 drop, as this is likely just replacing a crosstown courier, rather than pick up yet another inaction injunction. I was pretty happy with this pick, as the chainwalker can attack into centaurs, sunspire griffins, and the like, where courier would be stopped cold.
Pack 3 pick 5:
My Pick:
Easy pick, although passing the pack rats is painful. That card is practically unbeatable.
Pack 3 pick 6:
My Pick:
I have a lot of three drops and not enough falter effects, so I take the trick over the tower drake.
Pack 3 pick 7:
My Pick:
I never want too many electrickery's, but 1-2 will always be good.
Pack 3 pick 8:
My Pick:
At this point, I have something like 28 playables and I won't be playing either the stealer or the courier, so I just rare draft, even though this will probably be worth almost nothing.
Pack 3 pick 9:
My Pick:
Hover barrier is pretty useless in this deck and a promenade would just slow me down. Runewing, is fine, although not aggressive enough to be really great.
Pack 3 pick 10:
My Pick:
This shouldn't be here.
Pack 3 pick 11:
My Pick:
Syncopate turns into force spike with an electromancer in play, which is pretty cool.
Pack 3 pick 12:
My Pick:
This is getting ridiculous.

Pack 3 pick 15:
My Pick:
Here is how the deck ended up. I am playing 16 lands because I have two inaction injunctions and am extremely greedy. I ended up 3-0.
In round two I played against some guy whose curve started at 4 with ogre jailbreakers. I lost game one because I kept a two lander with an electromancer and chainwalker in it. I got him to 8 but never drew another land. I pulled out game 2 at 1 life thanks to double chemisters trick. Game 3 I sided in essence backlash and syncopate and crushed him.
Round 3 I beat a decent selesnaya deck with cyclonic rift, largely because of chemister's trick. Other notable plays where when he arrested a voidwielder and my impostor reloaded the voidwielder. My opponent said "that's disgusting." Also, I need to remember to hold control when casting spells I want to copy. I didn't get full value of an annihilating fire because of this.
